Mission

Approach

My work is in service of you experiencing more agency in your inner world: we will notice, name, relate, and integrate your feelings with greater understanding and depth. By doing this, you can develop your responses to living and enjoy greater self-understanding — moving beyond previous ingrained reactions and perspectives that no longer feel alive.

Developing more choice, self-trust, and flexibility in how you meet yourself and others is what you have been seeking: to walk a path embracing the parts of you that carry pain, uncertainty, loss and shame, and to understand that these exiles bear gifts, is one of the key paradoxes that well-grounded psychotherapy works with.

Embracing the light and dark sides of a character and personality — facing the elaborate, complex and layered parts of ourselves. With a little bit of courage, a little bit of care, not just stopping at accepting who we are, but loving who we are becoming.

This is the process of individuation: a person becoming whole and unique.

Why

Care, not a cure

Hiding or avoiding your core feelings leaves you tired, decreases your motivation, and leaves you bored and shut down. It eats your identity, sense of self, and purpose.

Therapy can change your life. It requires both you and I to invest in building trust together. We call this the therapeutic alliance — a developed trust and care that becomes the bedrock change is built on.

It is a process of care, which offers ongoing support, versus a cure, which can sometimes miss the person experiencing suffering.

Outcomes

How sessions can feel

I aim to adapt your sessions to your needs, validating your experience — and making each one of value at your own pace.

Space or challenge

Do you need more room for things to surface — or a thoughtful question to help you get in touch with what’s happening? I check in and invite curiosity about our sessions as we work.

Wholeness in the room

What makes this approach unique is that I bring my wholeness to the work with you. When psychotherapy clicks, both of us understand and discover something about ourselves and what relationships mean.

Value at your pace

Making each session of value to you matters. I balance that with awareness and skill to tune into your own pace — not rushing the work, and not leaving you without contact.
