About
Hi, I’m Jack
As a queer man, I have found validation, meaning and support in my own psychotherapy. I trained at The Minster Centre in London, where I continue toward my MA in Integrative Psychotherapy.
My key aim is to help you experience more agency in your inner world: to notice, name, and relate to your feelings with greater understanding — so you can respond rather than react, with more choice, self-trust, and flexibility.
One of the goals of therapy with me is to develop your own internal therapist: a nurturing inner voice who, in time, can take over from me.
I believe we are shaped by past experiences. Coping strategies that protected us can become outdated, leaving us stuck or frustrated. The work helps you understand these patterns and get in touch with a deeper sense of who you are — integrating relational & psychodynamic, embodied, and humanistic perspectives.

FAQ
Before you book
How much do sessions cost?
£75 per 50 minute session. A sliding scale from £60 to £75 is available depending on income. Please let me know what you can afford. I encourage those with wealth privilege to pay it forward so there is equity in the service.
Payments are via bank transfer.
Do you work in person or online?
Yes — in person in Bristol and online via Zoom. Online sessions are secure, flexible, and just as effective for most people, especially if you prefer meeting from home.
What can I expect from my first session?
I'll meet you at your scheduled time. In our first session, we'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, your goals, and how we can work together. Individual sessions are 50 minutes and happen on a weekly basis.
What values guide you in your work?
The foundation of my practice rests on equity, advocacy, and justice, with a commitment to anti-racist and anti-oppression practices. My practice is 2SLGBTQIA+ celebratory and welcoming of all identities and expressions.
I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework and have regular supervision.
What treatment modalities do you use?
I integrate Relational & Psychodynamic, Embodied, and Humanistic perspectives — adapting to your needs, checking in, and inviting curiosity about how sessions feel.
What are your credentials?
BACP Accredited Diploma Integrative Counselling; additional training Adv.Dip / MA Integrative Psychotherapy (in progress); Foundation Cert. Integrative Counselling; TA 101; 7 years recovery and addiction support.
Registered Member BACP Reg. No. 415248. Practice insured by Towergate.
How long will I be in therapy?
I offer open-ended therapy for as long as it feels helpful and meaningful. When you feel ready to end, we'll discuss it together and agree on an appropriate close.
What if I cannot make a session?
Consistent attendance is linked to better outcomes. Full fees are charged for arranged sessions, including cancellations. If I have sufficient notice and can reschedule, I will.
With at least two weeks’ notice, I offer up to 4 holiday cancellations per year (from the date of the first session) at a £15 admin and retainer fee. Other missed weeks are charged in full.
What issues can you help with?
Addiction and compulsive behaviours; relationship struggles and childhood patterns; self-esteem and identity (including 2SLGBTQIA+); anxiety, grief, and life transitions — among other presenting concerns.
If you do not see yourself represented here, a free 20-minute discovery call can help us check fit, or I can guide you toward someone in my network.
